Warna

Warna, acrylic on canvas, 48 in. x 48 in.
In an attempt to be more creative, I’ve decided to try my hand at painting—something I’ve wanted to try for a long time. It was both frustrating and rewarding. In my true cheap and stubborn fashion, I was even able to cobble together homemade stretcher bars and stretch a canvas (this instructables post was very helpful). It all turned out fairly well for an undirected first try.
The name, Warna means ‘color’ in Indonesian. Really, this painting is just intended to add badly needed color to our living room. And it does OK at that. One empty white wall down, many more to go.

Looks great! I’d like to see it in person, especially the stretch!
