Warna, acrylic on can­vas, 48 in. x 48 in.

In an attempt to be more cre­ative, I’ve decided to try my hand at painting—something I’ve wanted to try for a long time. It was both frus­trat­ing and reward­ing. In my true cheap and stub­born fash­ion, I was even able to cob­ble together home­made stretcher bars and stretch a can­vas (this instructa­bles post was very help­ful). It all turned out fairly well for an undi­rected first try.

The name, Warna means ‘color’ in Indone­sian. Really, this paint­ing is just intended to add badly needed color to our liv­ing room. And it does OK at that. One empty white wall down, many more to go.
